
The “Rebirth of Skateparks” will take you on a visual ride looking back at the premiere skateparks that we had in Southern California in the mid 1970’s to the early 1980’s. The film features classic footage and photos of skateboarders including Eddie Elguera, Dave Andrecht, Tony Hawk, Steve Hirsch, Eric Grisham, Neil Blender, Jay Adams, Bill Wall, Bobby Valdez, Bob Serafin, and many others shredding the skateparks of the past
The film features 4 segments that document the first wave of skateparks including:
- LA / Inland Empire Skateparks: Marina Del Rey, Lakewood, Whittier Skatecity, and the Colton Skate Ranch.
- The Upland Pipeline
- Orange County Skateparks: Anaheim Concrete Wave Skatepark, Skatopia in Buena Park, and the Big O.
- San Diego Skateparks: Carlsbad, Spring Valley, Escondido, Oasis, and the Del Mar Skate Ranch.
