| Review: | The Pala skatepark is packed with many large and small features that use the limited space quite efficiently. Even though the park is packed with features it still has a very good flow as you transition from the street section up to the main tranny section. What this park might lack in extreme difficulty or black diamond hits it more then makes for with a great overall design, perfect concrete finish and fun innovative SKATE SPOTS scattered throughout the park. This park is the laid back cousin to the Glendale Skatepark in LA. The tranny sections feature a near perfect 9ft deep right hand kidney pool that has a 6ft shallow end and perfect pool coping set. The tile is awesome with its hand laid southwest pattern that even surrounds the well place deathbox. The flow bowl runs 6ft deep to around 9ft deep on the round extension and includes three major sections from round bowls to square bowls along with a small rollin section and steel coping. A retro style mini snakerun/flow section utilizes old school round lip, steel coping and a funky ledge to create a super fun flow section to soul carve or get your ollie air to tailslide locked down. The hybrid street/flow bowl you’ll just have to see for yourself and use your own imagination to explore. The street area contains stairs, ledges, mini k-rail style ½ pipes and portable rails. The funky Horseshoe wall greets you when you first walk into the skatepark and it caps the end of the street section with a positive exclamation point. The park staff is very skater friendly and pads are not strictly enforced for those who care about such things. Having the Pala Casino nearby might make this the perfect destination for some familys or groups planning an all day excursion.
This park is worth the trip and effort to visit and I personally rate it the best park in San Diego county and top 10 in SoCal. JV “Mogulman”
BOTTOM LINE: This skatepark is highly rated on the overall fun scale and has something for every skater to shred.

Skateparks are becoming more common as Skateboarding grows as a sport in Southern California. A Skatepark Directory such as SoCal Skateparks can help you to find the best Skateboard Parks in Southern California. We have put this Skatepark Directory together so that skateboarders in Southern California can find skateboard parks easier. Skateparks are important to the foundation of skateboarding. In order for skateparks to remain vibrant in SoCal we have to do our best to make sure that the skateparks that are built here are going to be skateparks that our children will want to skate 20 years from now. We want this to be your first choice skatepark directory and hope that all of the skateparks listed here will help you to find your way.
