| Review: | The Duarte Skateboard Park features a smooth and fast rhythm section and a combination bowl.
The lower rhythm section has 3' to 4' banks, a 4' spine connected to a triangular bank that has a rail and ledge at one end with a drop ledge leading down to a small roll-over bank with a funbox. Around the periphery of the rhythm section are a funbox butted up to one of the banks, an escalator bank, a rail going down a small bank, and at the top of the skatepark near the bowl a seven stair with a goofy side rail and next to the stairs is a 1/4 pipe bank leading down to the rhythm section. Flow is not the best in this area of the skatepark but it is definitely better than other skateparks in the area.
The combination bowl is located at the top of the skatepark and has a 6' to 8' deep lower bowl with about 1' of vert on the 8' wall and a 4' to 6' upper bowl. There are two hips and a washboard roll-over that separate the two sections. The combi bowl is smooth, kinkless and relatively fast with well affixed metal coping. The hips are definitely bustable moving from either from shallow to deep or back the other way. The washboard roll-over can get annoying after awhile but it is not a bowl killer
The skatepark is right off the freeway is new and clean and a fun place to hang and skate for a few hours. While I was at the skatepark the local cops drove by and warned skaters not wearing helmets to put them on but no tickets were given.
Bottom Line: Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area and road trip worthy if you are into skating bowls and want to try something a bit different.

Skateparks are becoming more common as Skateboarding grows as a sport in Southern California. A Skatepark Directory such as SoCal Skateparks can help you to find the best Skateboard Parks in Southern California. We have put this Skatepark Directory together so that skateboarders in Southern California can find skateboard parks easier. Skateparks are important to the foundation of skateboarding. In order for skateparks to remain vibrant in SoCal we have to do our best to make sure that the skateparks that are built here are going to be skateparks that our children will want to skate 20 years from now. We want this to be your first choice skatepark directory and hope that all of the skateparks listed here will help you to find your way.
