| Review: | The park is by no means one of the greatest skate parks and it is what I would consider a beginners skate park.
The park was poured with relatively slow but smooth red concrete and the overall flow of the park is not obvious when you first start skating the park. The park is sectioned off with an upper reservoir that has mellow 3’ to 4’ banks with a pyramid and moon crater in the middle, a lower section that flows down on one side of the pyramid that has banks ranging from 2’ to 8’ , and a third section which consists of a long encapsulated half-pipe which ends in a 5’ mellow bowl that has a left-hand hip jogging over to a 5’ mellow tranny.
For the most part there is flat-top metal coping along the periphery of the upper reservoir and the half-pipe and bowl. The park has many street type obstacles laced mostly on the edges of the park and there is a 4-stair that is located adjacent to the hip located in the bowl.
The park is located next to the Laguna Hills High School and it can get extremely crowded between the hours of 3 to 8 during the week. This park can be fun to skate but the main problem that I have skating there is that there are too many points of entry into all sections of the park! It seems most of the kids just learning how to skate do not understand that dropping in on someone in the middle of their run is not that cool of a thing to do!
Bottom Line – The Laguna Hills Skate Park is roughly 2 miles from my house and I skate it on average maybe once a month. Good Times are possible(kind of)! If you are in the area then check it out for yourself. - MH -

Skateparks are becoming more common as Skateboarding grows as a sport in Southern California. A Skatepark Directory such as SoCal Skateparks can help you to find the best Skateboard Parks in Southern California. We have put this Skatepark Directory together so that skateboarders in Southern California can find skateboard parks easier. Skateparks are important to the foundation of skateboarding. In order for skateparks to remain vibrant in SoCal we have to do our best to make sure that the skateparks that are built here are going to be skateparks that our children will want to skate 20 years from now.
